Ecoseek collects and stores the following types of information:

  • Location Data: Your geographical location, as provided by your device, to enable the app's functionality.
  • Photographs: Images you capture or upload within the app.
  • Text Descriptions: Text-based information you provide in association with photographs or other app features.
  • In-App Purchases: If you choose to make a support purchase, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. Ecoseek receives only a purchase token to verify and complete the transaction. No payment information is stored by Ecoseek.

2. How Your Information is Used

The information collected is stored locally on your device and is used solely to provide and enhance the app’s functionality. Ecoseek does not access, send, or share this information externally without your explicit consent.

3. Sharing of Information

Ecoseek does not transmit your personal data—such as location information, photographs, or text descriptions—to external servers or third parties. The data remains entirely on your device unless:

  • You manually choose to export or share this data outside the app.
  • You make an in-app support purchase, in which case Google Play Billing processes the transaction. Ecoseek receives only a purchase token from Google to verify and complete the transaction. Ecoseek does not receive or store your payment card details or any billing information. Google's privacy policy governs data handled by Google Play Billing.

4. Data Security

Ecoseek employs measures to ensure the safety of your data while it resides on your device. However, the security of your device itself and the methods you use to share data externally are your responsibility.

5. Your Choices

  • Data Control: You have full control over the data collected by Ecoseek. No information is transmitted externally unless you choose to share it outside the app.
  • Permissions Management: You may adjust app permissions for location access or other data collection features via your device’s settings.

6. Data Deletion

Ecoseek does not store any user data on external servers. All data, including location information, photographs, and text descriptions, is stored exclusively on your device. Because no data is transmitted to external servers, there is no server-side data retention period—data persists only as long as the app is installed or until you choose to delete it using the methods below.

You can delete your data at any time through the following methods:

  • Uninstalling the App: Deleting the Ecoseek app from your device will permanently remove all locally stored data associated with the app.
  • Clearing App Data: You can use your device's system settings to wipe all information stored by the app without uninstalling it.

Please note that once data is deleted via these methods, it cannot be recovered unless you have previously used the 'Export' feature to save a backup elsewhere.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated through the app or other appropriate channels. Continued use of Ecoseek following the updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Ecoseek is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or any people, for that matter.
